Safety & Compliance — Our Certifications and Regulatory Standing

Our Unwavering Commitment to Safety & Compliance

At Zero Emission Phinisi, the safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority, underpinned by over 50 individual safety checks before each departure. True luxury is peace of mind, and we achieve this through unwavering compliance with all Indonesian Ministry of Transportation (Perhubungan Laut) and international SOLAS regulations. Our operations are fully transparent, ensuring every journey is not only sustainable and luxurious but also exceptionally safe.

Corporate & Tourism Regulatory Compliance

We operate as a fully legal and transparent PT PMA (Foreign Investment Company) entity within Indonesia, established in 2023 and adhering to all national laws and regulations. This provides a secure and reliable foundation for our business and for our clients, ensuring full compliance with local tax and maritime authorities.

  • Legal Entity: We are a legally registered foreign investment company (PT PMA) under our parent, Juara Holding Group, fully compliant with the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
  • Tourism License (SIUP Pariwisata): We hold a valid and current Tourism Business License issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), authorizing us to conduct luxury yacht charters.
  • Tax Compliance (NPWP): We are a registered Indonesian taxpayer with a valid NPWP (Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak), contributing to the national economy.
  • Employee Welfare (BPJS): All our Indonesian employees are registered for the national social security program (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) and universal health coverage (BPJS Kesehatan), ensuring their welfare and legal protection.

Maritime Safety & Vessel Certification

Our yacht, last fully refitted in 2024, was built and is maintained to exceed both local and international maritime safety standards. It undergoes a mandatory annual dry-docking inspection, ensuring all equipment surpasses the requirements set by Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI).

  • Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI): The vessel’s design, construction, and equipment have been certified by the BKI, Indonesia’s national classification society, ensuring its structural integrity and seaworthiness.
  • Directorate General of Sea Transportation Compliance: We operate in strict accordance with all regulations set forth by the Ditjen Hubla (Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut), Indonesia’s maritime authority.
  • Port Clearance (SPB): Before every single voyage, we obtain a Surat Persetujuan Berlayar (SPB), or Port Clearance Permit, from the local port authority (KSOP – Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan). This confirms that our vessel, crew, and documentation are all in order and fit for sea.
  • SOLAS & STCW Standards: Our safety equipment—including life rafts, EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), satellite phones, and medical supplies—meets or exceeds the requirements of the international SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) convention. All our deck and engineering crew hold internationally recognized STCW (Standards of Training,Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certifications.

Operational & Guest Safety Protocols

Safety is embedded in our daily operations, from requiring life jackets on all tender transfers to ensuring a maximum 4:1 diver-to-Divemaster ratio for all diving activities. Every excursion is preceded by a detailed safety briefing, and our onboard PADI-certified team maintains strict protocols.

  • Emergency Response Plan (ERP): We have a comprehensive ERP that covers all potential scenarios, including medical emergencies, technical issues, and severe weather. The plan includes detailed protocols and clear chains of command.
  • Medical Evacuation Partnership: We have a standing partnership with International SOS for professional medical advice and, if necessary, emergency medical evacuation from remote locations to top-tier medical facilities.
  • PADI 5-Star Dive Center Standards: All our diving operations are conducted with the highest level of safety. Our equipment is meticulously maintained, and our dive instructors are certified PADI professionals who conduct thorough briefings before every dive.
  • GPS Tracking & Communication: Our vessel is equipped with real-time GPS tracking, satellite communications, and VHF/SSB radios, ensuring we are always connected, even in the most remote areas.
  • Crew Training: Our crew, led by our experienced Master Captain, undergoes regular and rigorous safety drills, including fire, man-overboard, and abandon ship procedures.

Our commitment to these stringent safety and compliance measures is absolute, reflected in our 100% incident-free operational record since our 2023 launch. It is the bedrock upon which we have built our reputation for providing the most secure and professionally managed luxury charter experience in Indonesia.
